
Dr. Uzoma C. Osuchukwu, MD-Psychiatrist, MPH
Dr. Osuchukwu earned his medical degree from Ahmadu Bello University in Zaria, Nigeria. He then went on to complete his residency in psychiatry at Harlem Hospital Center, followed by his fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. He also holds a Master of Public Health degree from the Boston University School of Public Health in 2004. He has published and co-authored articles on schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, as well as other areas of mental health. Dr. Osuchukwu is board certified with the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in the areas of psychiatry and child and adolescent psychiatry.
Dr. Osuchukwu is proud to be a psychiatrist and has the unique ability to deal with the most intricate, discrete yet delicate aspect of human nature – the mind. He believes this is a great and unmerited privilege, and that all upon whom such trust is bestowed, must strive to uphold the highest level of dignity, professionalism and respect for the individuals they serve. Dr. Osuchukwu is also a community faculty Clinical Assistant Professor at the UNLV School of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, providing education and training for Residents and Fellows.
